Barrio La Cañada
Residence

Santa Fe NM | 2018

The owner, a farm and food educator returning to the city in which she was raised, wished to renovate her new home and create an accessory dwelling unit from the existing storage area. A small kitchenette and bathroom were carved out, leaving much of the new space for sleeping and living. In the main home, two existing bathrooms and a laundry were reorganized and renovated for better access and circulation. The walls separating the kitchen, dining, and living rooms were removed to transform it into a single space for casual entertaining. An efficient galley kitchen was created with a large pantry for storage, satiating the owner's desire for a beautiful space in which to create food to share with family and friends.
