Wishing to convert an over-sized closet underneath a stair into a small second bathroom, the owners contacted us to provide a simple set of drawings for entitlements. In surveying we discovered we would need area outside the closet to fit a full bathroom and recognized an opportunity to further utilize wasted space in the entry corridor terminus for a built-in cabinet to provide needed foyer storage and a bench seat for removing shoes. Thus what began as a need for a small second bathroom became a significant improvement to the functionality of this grand Victorian flat.
